But since we (or most of us) are all humans writing
such a long letter is something you are never really
motivated for.
So it comes that the last newsletter was written
"a while" ago and we should rather call it
"yearly news".

On the negative side: Due to manufacturing issues about
it's large weight the Khan is no longer manufactured.
The Equine is now the only equine model left.

One of the most exciting new toys arrived in may:
The Tenga Flip-Hole.
A very stylish fleshlight-type toy that can
be adjusted via 3 pressure-sensitive "buttons".
It comes with 3 different lubricants for 3 different

The best part: It can be flipped open for cleaning
without having to touch any dirty parts!

Another newsworthy note is that we now own
the international Trademark on the name
"YiffyToys".
This step has become necessary after we ran
into some problems with others setting up a
shop with our name. This issue is largely
resolved now.

* US-Shop *

Yes, we did start a completely separate shop
for the US and Canada only.
The dropping US-dollar made it difficult for
north-american customers to buy at our shop.
Thus for the increasing numbers of US-customers
we started a separate shop that is completely
independent of exchange-rates. Shipping is done
directly from US-ground.
This however also mandates that this shop does
not offer all products of our european main-shop
and vice versa.

* new Furrystyle-products *

The more important additions in the "deep down"
-section of our shop are of cause the new furrystyle-
models.
The Spike is more pointy and thus more gentle to
use then the anatomically correct Duke.
The Runt is smaller then the (now discontinued) K9
and fits gently for even the beginners.
The new Goliath has beome the largest of our canine-
models, only topped by the head of the rebild
equine family.
The Khan, It is large, it is heavy and it is
beautifull!

-- Deep down --

Just a day after the last newsletter, the
US-sized versions of the Tenga became avaliable.
US, in this case does not mean a country.
It stands for "ultra-suction, super-vacuum.
These models are bigger and this fit also
the more prominent members of the western world.

Later that year a few new Nexus-Models and similar
items became avaliable.
The new Nexus-Titus has since become a good seller
in our shop. Also the Nexus Glide introduced a new
smaller size into the Nexus family in our shop.
The most popular Nexus Excel is now sold in a super-
saver -pack with 1000ml of our famous Bovivet lubricant.
The top of the line is of cause the really good one.
The Nexus Vibro. It is quite exclusive but once you tried it,
you will not want any other dildo anymore.
It is just perfect!
(And we are offering replacement-batteries for it.)

-- Slippery --

In the section of lubricants we added the famous
Bioglide and serveral Aquaglide-variants including not only the 100ml Aquaglide anal but also the flavoured variants and the 50ml and 200ml bottles.

For mobile use we also added the Pjur cruising-packs to the existing 2ml and 6ml libricants.

-- Artistic --

Recently the artistic-section became bigger with the addition of the
full range of FurryStyle Yiffy Boys and Yiffy Girls collectors sets.
Both in the large tin-box with one hand-drawn card each and in the smaller
shrink-wrapped sets.

* conventions *

A year has passed, MMC and Eurofurence and the
smaller H-Con where a great as they allways are.
This year we may add a fourth convention to the
list, where you can see us in the wild but that
will be announced soon.
Last year we also accepted credit-cards on
the con-site via a mobile phone-link. Thus for
the first time customers could buy after they
already spend all their cash on the art-sales.
At the same time we switched to a better credit-
card module, exchanging the former iframe with
a fully integrated credit-card -processing.

* changes to the shop

The most prominent change was, that we copied
the categories with our foxes to the start-page
below the "18+"-question. Saving everyone that
single click.

Also visible was us removing the option of shipping
via DPD. As DPD changed their pricing-structure it
was no longer possible to automatically calculare
the shipping-price. So we where forced to remove
it entirely.

We also changed the shop to allow us to offer
bundled sets while still displaying the correct
stock in your shipping-cart.

Less visible is the option to pseudomize
customer-entered product-reviews.

Internally we introduced barcodes, automated a
lot of the work for counting our stock, doing accounting
and doing all the taxes. All so that we have more time to care
about the acual products we are selling.

Änderungen in der Versand-Auswahl

Da immer wieder, vor allem von ausländische Kunden mit geringen Englisch-Kentnissen, "Übergabe auf Convention" ausgewählt wird obwohl Versand erwünscht ist haben wir dies etwas geändert.
a) Der Shop wählt als Vorauswahl nicht mehr stur den billigsten Versand, sondern nur den billigsten Versand welcher >0eur kostet.
b) Bei Auswahl "Pickup at convention" kommt ein englisches Popup, daß man bitte den Namen der Convention in das Kommentarfeld schreiben möchte.

That's right, since 11.11.2006 yiffytoys.de
is accepting Visa, Visa-electron and Mastercards!
We hope that not only dies this step make things
easier for UK an US -folks, that have allways had
problems with making bank-transactions to a
german account but this should also once and for
all end all problems associated with accepting
paypal instead to allow these people to pay
without having to deal with international-banking-
forms.

There have been many new products added since the
last newsletter but let's start with 2 sad changes.

First we had to remove the leopard-quadro-ties
because our supplier discontinued them. They simply
did not sell often enough for them.
We also had to remove the collar with 3 D-rings.
This one was due to quality-probleme with the
metal used. It was strong and looked good but was
starting to collect rust very quickly.

-- Deep down --

We recently added the Joydivision „clean’n’ safe" 200ml.
It will replace the Pjur toy-cleaner with double the
content for a smaller price. Contrary to the Pjur -one
this desinfectant also doubles as a leather-spreay for
bondage-accessories.

With the Q-To we added a cheaper alternative
to the Tenga-Onacups. While the Tenga are
top-of-the-line many people thought them too
expensive to try out an onacup at all.

We also where able to reduce the prices of the Tenga
-Onacups by up to 4 euro!

Shortly before Eurofurence 13 we added 4 brand-new

In this section we recently added some special
suspension-cuffs.
Other changes where some reduced prices for the high-quality
-products. A great deal of other new items will follow within
the next weeks, before x-mas!

* multiple currencies *

In addition to the credit-card -acceptance
we also implemented a new feature to show
all prices in UK-Pound or US-Dollar to make
price-comparison easier for our non-Euro-
visitors. The final invoice and payment will
be handled in euro, regardless of the shown
currency in the producs-descriptions.

* the new server *

Since november 2006 YiffyToys is hosted on a new server.
The old one was rather limited in terms of memory and cpu-
power. As the the company where we rented the server
closed down we took the oportunity to custom-build our
own server and find a co-location spot. We are now hosted
with far better hardware, connectivity and redundancy then
before. Allowing for a faster and web-page and much more
reliability in case of failures.
The final transition of the domain happened on a weekend
in late October and went smoothly within about 5 minutes.
We changed the dns-ttl-times before in order to minimize
the number of people still accessing the old server because
their DNS-server cached the old IP while the new one was
already in place.
According to the log not a single visitor was lost during
the process.

The new server also allows more ressources for our new
customer-management-system. We started it in early
September to keep track of all the special-orders and
search-requests we get via IRC, email or forum-messages.
While being a bit sluggish before it is now fully usable.

* conventions *

We where present at a number of conventions
since the last newsletter and they where all
great!

The greatest of all of cause was Eurofurence 13.
It is simple the biggest and greatest furry-
convention in europe. While having some trouble
with the elevator and only being allowed a
very reduced repository of products in the
dealers den, sales certainly went very well.

H-Con was a medium-sized convention with great
people and even better food...24h a day!
We had setup a big table in a side-room of the
first floor that also hosted quite some discussion
about us and our products. We learned a great
deal about what the people are looking for and
what we can do about it.

The #bondage.de Channel-Meeting was small, family-
style and great! With a small group of people and
multiple play-rooms there was ample opportunity
to try out new things. Most of the time it was
talking and a simple get-together of like-minded
furs.

* the beta-blog *

In the last newsletter we announces the
behin-the-scenes-blog .
Recently we switched that blog to the new blogspot-beta.
This allowes for a much simpler handling of Tags then
the old method with del.icio.us had. Now, we will continue
tagging our articles with del.icio.us too but the links
below each article will only reflect the new blogspot-tags
in newer posts. Older ones will have both sets of links
to allow for a smooth transition.

Fortschritte bei der Kreditkarten-Akzeptanz

Zunächst die gute Nachricht:

Wir sind gerade dabei die technische Seite der Kreditkarten-Schnittstelle
zu implementieren. Die Formalitäten sind fast abgeschlossen.
Schon in wenigen Tagen könnte es soweit sein, daß wir Visa, Visa Electron
und Mastercard akzeptieren können.

Weiterhin haben wir eine Fehlermeldung wegen einer fehlender französischer
Übersetzung bei Bezahlen per Nachnahme entfernen können.

Quite a while ago and with lots of discussion going
on about it we added "anilotion". It is a spray that
can be used to relax the muscles in your anus for
